Giving Back

The Yum Foundation

The YUM foundation was set up in 1975 to assist in funding infrastructure projects in deprived areas of Indonesia, helping to improve the quality of life for ordinary Indonesians. The foundation works on three key areas of development; community infrastructure, education and health support.

Giving Back

As part of our endeavour to support the rural community who make our coffins, we donate 10% of the proceeds of every coffin to the Yayasan Usaha Mulia foundation. Our direct partnership with the Yayasan Usaha Mulia foundation enables us to support projects which benefit the local community where our coffins are made.

YUM’s health projects are centered in Central Kalimantan and West Java, where there is a desperate need for proper health education and resources. YUM’s leadership in disease prevention has led to major milestones, particularly in the areas of sanitation, clean water, health promotion and malaria.

Children born into families, who for generations were resigned to a life of poverty, have little hope of breaking the cycle of poverty unless they have access to education. YUM has developed a wide-range of educational solutions including vocational training centers, community libraries, scholarships and sponsorships.

Community Development

YUM’s community based projects aim to provide a better standard of living for those families living in poverty. YUM aims to create a foundation for long-term stability and growth by promoting cooperation between members of each community and show communities what can be achieved when they work together.
